WE DID IT!!!!!  Thanks to your support and donations, we have raised enough money to continue our Science Program next year.

CENTS FOR SCIENCE  Thank you for helping your children collect change and for giving in car line.  The Cents For Science campaign was able to raise $1,366.70 for Science Lab supplies for next year!  That’s a lot of supplies!

We would also like to thank the Yarger family for their generous donation of science equipment this year.

It’s a job well done!  The Rocky Mount Community has worked hard to fund this Science Program that will give our children the tools they will need to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will directly impact your child’s education?

The Foundation makes a significant impact on the level of education here at Rocky Mount and WE NEED YOU!  As a 100% volunteer organization, our success is built not only on the generous donations of our members, but also on the time and talent they give. New committees are forming now to support next year’s events.  While we have a great “foundation” for our organization, we are looking for new board members and volunteers to help take us to the next level.  Some positions only require a few hours of work over the course of a few weeks, whereas others are year-long positions. If you’re interested in joining the board, or simply in volunteering on any of the school’s projects, please contact us at Our next Foundation meeting is Friday, May 10th at 10:00 am in the conference room. All are welcome to attend!  (We changed our meeting times to 10:00 am to make it more convenient for parents of children in preschool or middle school.)

Current open positions for next school year include:

Foundation Sales Rep Chair - minor position responsible for organizing items for table sales at any events where a Foundation table is present, such as Fall Festival, Feasts, etc. This position will take minimal time and will only be needed a couple of times per school year.

Valentine’s Day Carnation Chair - minor position responsible for organizing carnation sales on Valentine’s Day. It would require time directly prior to and on Valentine’s Day and then would be complete.
